Without a serious plotline, this book gave the characters a chance to goof off a little and show a playful side. The book gave me a sense of the calm before the storm.

Synopsis Quincy Archer Hates You, A new reality-show craze is sweeping the nation, garnering legions of screaming fans the majority of them being teenaged girls. But this program comes with a supernatural twist--the host, a media-savvy spiritualist, travels to local hotspots and performs exorcisms, live on national TV!
Also, the cover is misleading. If anything, a cover of Kanonji would have been more suitable since we don't actually meet Uryu Ishida until the very end. Well, at least the volume ends on another cliffhanger so you'll want to read on. Started a bit slow, but picked up the pace. I really like the selflessness of Ichigo.
He is not at all the punk folks think him to be. He is a nice guy who gets in trouble to help those in need, and has elements he can't control putting him in folks' cross-hairs. I was a little disappointed at how Orihime and Rukia were very minor in this volume, but you can see that they are gaining more knowledge of things and may have some abilities. It should, hopefully, make things better as we move closer t Started a bit slow, but picked up the pace. It should, hopefully, make things better as we move closer to them having more involvement in the stories and adventures of Ichigo and Rukia and friends.
The end showed us the beginning of a more serious I'm guessing by how silly this volume's main arc was, which practically screams "Breather episode" to me adventure, like in the second and third volumes.
Bleach 4 : Tite Kubo :
Haven't read Bleach in a while, and I am regretting that now, as it is a good manga. Can't wait to get into it more with future volumes soon, hopefully. Highly Recommended. Mar 14, Megan rated it really liked it Shelves: , paranormal , fiction , graphic-novel , own. The subtitle of this book makes me giggle. But I think it's also kind of inaccurate, because Ishida doesn't show up till the very end. It really should have been the title of the fifth book. If I didn't like Don Kanonji so much I would really hate this. But of all the incredibly annoying side characters in Bleach, he is my favorite.
He's over the top but he also has a good heart and he knows to back down and let Ichigo handle what he is unable to. Sep 26, Madiyar rated it it was amazing. Because i love Manga stories, i chose this book.. Apr 04, Emma rated it liked it Shelves: graphic-novels Ichigo encounters a paranormal reality star which takes up most of the chapters in this volume.
I didn't care very much for these chapters but I'm sure this will be a lead in to more interesting plot. Plus this volume ends on a total cliff hanger! Sep 30, Sebastian Gonzalez added it. This was an ok vol because it leads to one of ichigo's biggest battles in the manga and tv series. Ichigo has only been a soul reaper for about a month. Ichigo meet Don and they had a battle with a hollow in a old hospitle.

Oh great, a super irritating character is introduced. Please, please be an infrequent character. Oct 13, Taylor Devonshire rated it really liked it. Overall, the volume was great. The beginning with Kon was lovely, both because Kon and because of Chad who also had a great moment later on when he fought off some of those guards for Ichigo. Don Kanonji is amazing and ridiculous though usually in a good way. There was also a moment of interest in, I believe, chapter 29 when Ichigo is beginning to jump over the rope barricade.

There are some peculiar panels there that show someone moving towards the rope and even reaching out, but the clothing shown doesn't quite match Ichigo's apparel. Also, Ichigo jumping over shows someone in the background, who Ichigo happens to be blocking. I thought perhaps Ishida, but it seems almost too Speaking of Ishida, his entrance in this volume was awesome.
He appeared so mysterious and cool, but I know he can also be such a loser sometimes and I mean that in an endearing way. This is the volume where Don Kanonji is brought in. Which if you love him, you'll love this and if you don't like him, like me, then you don't like it. His heart is in the right place but he's annoying and has no idea what he is doing. Through Kanonji's actions, Ichigo must battle a Hallow and hope to save everyone around from it. We also learn more about the Hollows which is always nice. I love that This is the volume where Don Kanonji is brought in.
I love that this series gives us a little info every volume so we learn new things but it's not boring and just an info drop kind of thing. It keeps it fresh while expanding the world perfectly. We also get to meet one of my favorite characters in the whole manga in this one! May 26, E. Zolotor rated it liked it.
Vol 4: Quincy Archer Hates You feels like it is on the border line of being filler-good filler- but filler all the same. It doesn't help that it starts with a true filler chapter featuring Kon. Don Kononji is a bit abrasive, and his adventure in this volume has to be considered with some perspective. This is a slowing of pace that has dangerous appearance of lack of direction for the series.
This arc nearly diverges into a monster of the week, but make no mistake, it has purpose. It pulls Ichigo Vol 4: Quincy Archer Hates You feels like it is on the border line of being filler-good filler- but filler all the same. It pulls Ichigo's family and friends into his world and drags everyone closer to the super natural. While it may not be the most exciting addition to Bleach Aug 05, Hannah Belyea rated it liked it Shelves: adult-only.
When the host of an exorcist show comes to his hometown to hunt down spirits, Ichigo and Rukia must find out whether or not the balance between Earth and the realm of spirits is strong enough to handle such trifling. Kubo will entertain readers with this enjoyable entry.
One wrong move, and this exorcist may be the next victim of the Hollows Sep 05, Jacob rated it really liked it. Pro: The surprisingly long psychic story which takes up most of this volume that I never much liked in TV form works better in manga form. Pro: A bit more lighthearted than the last volume.

Con: Fucking Quincys. Another good bleach book, that magician guy just really annoys me 'bohaha' like what?!
But I guess the fight scenes are like an upgrade from Naruto, this just makes me love it. But I hate all the cringe stuff!! Kon is so annoying. I think this was an ok Bleach volume but some things wreck it. Nov 09, Ben Nealis rated it really liked it Shelves: manga. Another early volume in Bleach and an important one at that. The introduction of the Quincey's and some nice action make for a fun read.
Dec 10, Glaiza Champion rated it it was amazing. A new character is introduced that hates soul reapers. I already don't like him.
