Our sister brewery, Fort Garry Brewery is Manitobas oldest microbrewery and has been producing original beers since Soon, the idea of people taking our beer home sounded good so we started bottling and canning. We managed to stay independent until at which time we were purchased and moved to Vernon. Over that time, we even found ourselves brewing with notorious brewers from Ontario to Japan.

Through the years, this family owned brewery has created many exciting brews. We are known for our quality, innovative brews. All our ales are preservative and chemical free. We try to support Canadian products and source our ingredients locally. Located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley which is renowned for wine, we are fortunate to have many fruits, berries and grapes available to us. We have utilized many of these in our Seasonal Ales. We strive for excellence in all we make and strive to provide our customers with excellent service. The brewery is named after a locomotive on the Kettle Valley Railway which operated in the Thompson-Okanagan region.
Many of our ales are named after flora and fauna of the Okanagan Valley. We give regularly and often to charity and local organizations. Ale, Peaches and Cream. Why Kelowna? Hey, having a Brewery in one of the most beautiful places in Canada seemed like a great idea. Why call the Brewery Tree? Well, it represents the natural beauty of British Columbia and the passion for all things natural and hand crafted, just like our beer. Our award winning beers are brewed by our Brewmaster, Dave Gokiert, and his team of passionate brewers.
From humble beginnings in a small warehouse in Central Saanich in we began by handcrafting a small selection of draught only products for pub customers on Vancouver Island.

Through loyal Island support, we began to grow and add to our portfolio of fresh handcrafted local ales and lagers. In , we grew out of our original operation and made the decision to build a new brewery at Government Street in Victoria B. We have developed a 30 year tradition and connection with Vancouver Island and are proud of our history of supporting numerous local businesses, charities, and community events over the years.
